Good music.

Sometimes I just need to hear a song that really speaks to me. Other times, I need to hear a song that just is so beautiful that I can't help but play it on repeat.

I love good music. And I kinda have an obsession with it :)

Yes, it's a little cliche.. But days like this, I am grateful for cute boys who make my heart happy.

FREEDOM

I have learned as I've gotten older that freedom isn't free. I have had friends go into the military and choose to protect my freedom. I know they sacrifice everything just so we can have the rights and freedoms that we have. I couldn't be any more grateful to the Vets that have fought and the active military that do fight every single day.

We appreciate you, we love you.

Tender Mercies

Sometimes little things happen that just make life so much easier, so much better. It is days like today that I am grateful for tender mercies because when I'm feeling down and God sends a little blessing down from Heaven, I just can't help but smile.

What I'm Grateful For #9

Heat

Yeah, it seems like a given in the fall/winter time, but have you seriously thought about how nice it is?? I remember during snomageden when the power was out and there was no heat. I was freezing! The only thing that saved me was the endless supply of quilts in my house (THANKS MOM!). 

So today, as my hands shake from the cold, I am grateful for heat.

A JOB!

In this economy, it's HARD to keep a job, let alone get a job.

I am lucky enough to be a nanny for the most wonderful family. I adore the kids and tonight had some extra special bonding time with the two oldest after the baby went to bed.

Here's me with the baby. He was cuddling up to me the other morning- and it was the most precious thing ever.

I love my job, and I love that I have a job!

ONE OF BEST FRIENDS- MICHAEL SLAWSON!

My best friend since the spring of 2009.

We've been inseparable ever since... Until he left on his mission of course. But, we still write each other and I miss him dearly. He is an amazing person. The best person I've ever met. Seriously, THE best.

He inspires me to be a better person. To be happy. To be strong.

I love him, and I can't wait until the spring when he returns from his mission. I know he'd tell me it's the best two years of his life and I shouldn't wish it away, and I'm not... I'm just excited for him to come home.

And I love him.
